Support in Schools
Did you know that we link in with our Young Carers schools so they are aware of who a young carer is?
Our outreach worker Tanya travels to schools across the borough providing briefings and training to school staff about who we are as a service so that they can highlight and support any Young Carers within their school.
It is our goal to establish a staff member in each school across St Helens to be our Young Carer Champion.
Their role is to:
• Support Young Carers within the school
• Identify hidden Young Carers
• To provide knowledge about Young Carers to other staff members
• To link in with the Young Carers team
