Chattin' 4 Action
We have a small group of Young Carers who make up our Young Carers committee; it is called Chattin' 4 Action.
This group comes together to discuss issues that affect Young Carers in St Helens. They work on small projects that help to improve services and raise awareness for Young Carers.
They are also involved in shaping what we do as a service so as to ensure we get it right!
They have been involved in a number of projects that include:
- Creating the ‘Young Carers School Promise’.
- 'Taking Action on isolation'
- Raising awareness across schools and colleges
- 'Young Carers Action Day'
- YC Discount Card
We also have Young Carers in the group that have become ‘Young Carer Ambassadors’, they help us to raise awareness in schools.
